About Inner Genius Prep
Nothing makes me happier than seeing my clients succeed, whether that means gaining admission to their top-choice college or landing the job of their dreams.
Before founding Inner Genius Prep in 2009, I received my MFA in Creative Writing from a Top 10 program and worked as a writer and editor, primarily in educational publishing. I then transitioned to the test-prep world, working for a high-end tutoring company in Beverly Hills. At the same time, I was deeply involved with personal growth work, studying meditation and mindset practices.
While the company I worked for profiled my students, even putting some of them on “the lazy kid track,” I instinctively knew there was a better way. I incorporated the practices I was studying into my work and discovered my students’ results far exceeded both expectations and the norm.
I firmly believe everyone has an Inner Genius within them that only needs to be activated and encouraged in order to reach their full potential.
I founded IGP to bring my holistic approach of “Less Stress, More Success” to a wider range of clients. I empower each person I coach to present their best self in order to authentically shine – whether by writing the strongest college or grad school application essays possible, creating a standout resume or acing the all-important job interview.
Today, the boutique educational and career consulting company I have built is thriving and brings me great joy.
The throughline that connects all of my work is listening to, guiding and supporting my clients so they break through any barriers and achieve their goals, and do it all with less stress than they would have thought possible.
How can I help you succeed?
“Lisa and Inner Genius Prep did such an outstanding job assisting me to get into my top choices for undergrad that I became a repeat client 8 years later, when applying for graduate school. Lisa not only helped me craft a strong personal statement for each program but punched up my resume to highlight my career trajectory. She is able to both support her clients’ needs and push them to reach their highest potential in their education and careers. I was accepted to the #1 Masters in Public Health program in the country at Johns Hopkins.”
